Hi everyone, I have a couple of questions for any of you Wilson experts out there. I'm looking into getting a Wilson custom, or trying to find a pro issue if I can. The classic tan color is what I'm interested in. I watched the video that Dirty30 did on Youtube with the side by side comparison of the custom and pro issue 1781s, and that's the color I want. Am I correct that this is referred to as orange tan? I had an A2000 back in the 90's, and it was almost too orange when it was new. The new ones seem to be a little lighter. Can anyone confirm this? Also, does anyone have thoughts on what the best option would be- custom A2000, look for a pro issue, or A2k? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm hesitant to buy a custom from Wilson. I bought the June A2000 GOTM since its pretty close to what I would have ordered anyway, and it was complete crap. Leather was subpar. Stitching on the web was half @ssed. I've owned an A2000 1786 PI and it was awesome. Sold it. I bought a 2014 A2K DP15 that I still use and love. I've owed two B2 Pro Issues and thought they were great. I've owned a stock A2000 JH32 and hated it. I feel that the gloves made in Vietnam are of less quality than the ones made in Japan. The custom gloves are made in Vietnam and I'm worried about spending $300 plus for a glove I will not be satisfied with.

Thanks, that's exactly the type of information I'm looking for. I had a Japan made A2000 D1 in the past, and it was a great glove. However, I've seen some of the more recent A2000s on shelves, and wasn't impressed with them. I've heard that the Japan made gloves are superior, but wondered about the customs. The one that Dirty30 reviewed on Youtube looked pretty good. Does anyone have a recommendation on what would be the highest quality Wilson available right now? It would be really cool to get color choices and custom embroidery, but the quality comes first to me. I read on here that you can call Don Morton Sports and get a custom Wilson there, also. Does anyone have any info/experience with that? Thanks.

You con not compare the Customs to an OTR/GOTM glove. The customs are far superior in every aspect. I was surprised when I picked up a GOTM and it felt very cheap, but that is not the case with the customs. I would strongly recommend a custom anyone.

Agreed, the custom is far superior quality. My buddy has a PI A2K and i honestly like my custom more than that too but thats probably just me haha. But i would recommend a custom to anyone as well.
