I happened to find a cracked bat in my closet, I completely forgot about that one and why I kept it too. But! I remember that I took a ball too close to handle and the bat simply cracked, but not broke in two it just has a 5 inches (in length) crack that doesnt seem to be too deep. To really see the crack it too me almost a ton to bend the bat and open it at its top of 1.5mm maybe. Its a Pro Maple C271 all black with silver engraving, is it worth to repair the bat just to use it in the cage for some tee and soft toss instead of buying a new one? Here in Italy, the land of contradictions, Ill give the fixing a try
Heres what I did: I tried to open the crack as wide as I could to let some vinilyc glue drip deep in the crack, then I pushed the fiber that cracked out into its spot so that the bat its perfectly smooth, then I taped the crack super tight. Its not beautiful nor clean but seems solid... In theory!
