Post subject:  Rawlings PRO 6X-HC history?

I’m new to the forum and was curious to learn more about my Rawlings PRO 6X-HC glove. I bought it new in 1988 from Rawlings’ St. Louis showroom. I’ve searched and only found one thread from 2007 on vintagebaseballgloveforum.com discussing an eBay auction.

Gold Glove Series, HEC01, PRO 6XHC

Anything you can share would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

sadly, you won't get much info here anymore. The forum is mostly defunct and a reference website, and vintage forum is even older. I can at least tell you that the date code's '01' indicates that its made of Horween leather, which is desirable, and that its a relatively desirable glove pattern to collectors. However, it also appears to be quite well used. So maybe worth upwards of $150-200 in that condition, if someone is really excited about finding that pattern. Would have been more a few years ago, but there's been a slight decline for this kind of stuff. You can probably get a better response on softballforum or instagram. Definitely a nice glove, and cool that you are the original owner. You would have been just the kind of forum member we were looking for years ago!
