I can handle stitching that is not perfect on the outside of the glove, but the biggest complaints seem to be when there is stitching on the inside that makes wearing the glove uncomfortable. This seems like it should be fixable as virtually no gloves I own HAVE any exposed stitching in the lining.
The "greasy" spot is actually a mix of wax and oil used to laminate the palm leather to the lining leather. I am not sure if gloves have always had this or why some soak through while others don't. Nokona uses it but is doesn't soak through, Glovesmith, Rawlings, and Wilson seem to have that spot some of the time.
Also, I think most people would prefer an extra piece of leather on the back of the wrist strap instead of crappy shearling.
And can you get real lacing?
I'm still tryin' to find out why every single glove factory down here seems to be doing some stitching in the inside part of the palm, I've asked them to not do it but they seem like they can't figure it out on how to put together the lining and the outer shell without sewing the palm. And as for the shearling they do use wool in the gloves but the finishings are not as carefully made as should be. I'll tell them to use an extra piece of leather or maybe do a better work with the shearling.
I still don't understand what you mean about "real lacing", does the one in my sample looks not real? It's rawhide but not as stiff as I wish. As always I appreciate all of your feedback.
