I don't know if I'd put the 271 between the 243 and the 110...more like after the 110.

To me, the 271 is like a "slimmed down" version of the 110. I own a 110 and to me, the 271 felt lighter. The barrel diameter is the same, but the 271 has a cupped end and the handle is 15/16" (vs. 1" for the 110). So assuming the wood and composite materials have the same density, then the 271 would have to be the lighter of the two for a given length. It felt that way to me, at least, when swinging one...felt more like a -4 than a -3. But if bat speed is your focus, it's probably the one to go with out of the three. I didn't like the 243, it was a bit too end loaded for my tastes. I like the 110...feels a bit more balanced. I have better bat control with it than with the 243.

Just my personal observations.

Baum's AAA Pro Model is the only wood composite bat approved for minor leage game use as well. It provides a true wood feel unlike any other composite and it's durability is unmatched.

Again, expensive, but worth the premium price.
