We have been evaluating a new product from Perfect Glove LLC called the WEBGEM Glove Form the past few days and our initial impressions are as follows.

We were impressed immediately upon opening the packages. The attention to detail right down to the packing material was top notch...logo packing paper, manual, 3D decal, towel, glove bag and form were all made from quality materials with excellent workmanship....this company really put some thought into this product and recognizes the importance of the consumers initial impression as well as a products long term durability.

We are evaluating both the roll and flare forms for baseball fielders gloves at the moment and while it takes a little getting use to relative to proper application of the form and insertion into the bag, there is not doubt this product will work on new gloves as well as gloves that are broken in.
We have a new Rawlings HOH PRO200-8 SLCS (Flare form) and Rawlings HOH PRO200-6 SLCS partially broken in (Roll Form) at the moment.

With a retail of $79.95 it's not cheap, but neither is the quality of the product and the fact that it seems very viable for the player who wants his/her glove to maintain it's shape or form as well as keep it protected when not in use.................But, "It's Not For Everyone"

We will add to our review in the next couple weeks.

Some info from their site.
When you spend good money on a glove, the expectation is that it’s better than the cheaper ones and that the performance and life of the glove will be greater than a less costly glove. Well, that’s only true if the glove is broken in AND maintained the right way!

This Patent Pending System is the only COMPLETE system to help you BREAK-IN, SHAPE, MAINTAIN THE SHAPE, and PROTECT your glove. Whether you are an infielder, outfielder, pitcher, catcher, or first baseman, there is a WebGem Glove Form to shape your glove the way that you want it, keep that shape, and protect it at the same time.

The System includes:
•The WebGem Glove Form of your choosing
•A WebGem Glove Bag made specifically for the Form you choose
•Our Glove Glaze Glove Conditioner product
•The WebGem Rough Rag to clean and remove excess conditioner

Thank you a lot, Wake. I really want to try them, but as a catcher and infielder, buying 2+ seemed a bit too expensive.

I visited these people at the ABCA in Chicago last month. I was really impressed and interested in buying one. The price made me balk, but by the time I got there the last day I think I missed them. I think I am gonna order one....

I got a couple of them in yesterday - ordered one and called them to thank them for their generosity. The reaction I got was that it was a shipping mistake - and I offered to pay. They refused, and I plan on linking them on my website. This is an amazing product!

Has this only been used on a Pro Preferred or Heart of the Hide? I'd like to see results with a different make or model with inferior padding...

We have a Rawlings PRO200 in the bowl shape form and have a Hawk in the Flare form right now......I will post pic's when I have them back at the shop.

Good results with the PRO200...no surprise here. The Hawk I have has excellent padding, so it's holding it's flare shape quite well.

Going to order one for a FB and CM.

Great product. I was skeptical at first as I was always comfortable just putting two balls in the pocket and using a glove wrap but after trying it I loved it. I used one that I was given when I was at the World Baseball Classic in Miami as I was bullpen catcher for Team USA and I got a lot of inquires about it.

Very well constructed with outstanding material. I gave them a testimonial and they shipped me a couple of promotional ones to give to some players that I have signed and I have purchased two more for my personal use. A good company that is as passionate about gloves as we are.

I purchased the first base form a little over two weeks ago and received it a week ago and have been using it on my akadema first base mitt that i have been breaking in and i am thoroughly pleased with the shape it has given my mitt. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that can afford it.
