Five dots on the thumb; wouldn't that indicate it was made in 2000? If so, this was toward the end of Cal's career when he was playing third base. I always thought Rawlings models with the number "2" were outfield size gloves.

5dots USA means 1975 or 1980. BLACKHORSE code started early 80's.

They went back to the dot code 1998 (3dots?)

CRJ was in the minor leagues in 1981 so he could have been using this his 1st year (1980 date code used the next year?)

Thanks. I have a 5-dot PRO-200HC made in the Philippines that I bought in 2000 so I assumed they were also using the 5-dots for USA Pro Issues/Customs of the same year. I just noticed that the "MADE IN USA" stamp is located on the very bottom of the heel instead of the palm which would indeed make this an older glove. Thanks again for the info.

ok, i was close!! (relatively lol) i knew i saw that it had sold for less recently, just thought it was in the 5's. man... thats soo cool, but you could buy a cheap used car for your kid in college for that!
