Horrible timing. Broke left index finger just as my son's pitching lessons begin. Sitting out and watching is not an option. Currently have a Rawlings HOH that is 50% broken in. Can someone recommend first hand experience with a mitt that eases the stinging impact on the index finger. Read about the Brown but need convincing experience it works. Any ideas?

Get your hand a little further back in the mitt and pick up a Palmgard.

I won't catch without one anymore.

Thanks David, that looks like the best route.

All Star also makes a protective sponge for the index and also a protective glove. In some places, it's a little easier to locate than the Palmguard.

I have the Brown mitt it will reduce stinging compared to a normal glove but I do not know if it will be enough to coddle a broken finger.
