Was looking on a site that listed players (with pics) that received only one HOF vote. Brett Boone, amongs others, came up and this is the picture that was with his blurb. Anyone see this glove before? I guess he had a contract with Rawlings, but liked a Mizuno glove...

I remember that one well. It's more common in college than in the pros.

I've seen him with that glove on a baseball card - and I'm just wondering if it is a Rawlings glove or a Mizuno. To me, it looks like a Rawlings glove with a Mizuno web and Mizuno patch sewed on. Very odd, and Bobby Valentinish.

It's a USA made MWV-600 (one of the very best infield gloves/patterns ever made)... He used it for most of his career...

He did. And used it for like one year then back to Mizuno.

Troy Glaus did the same thing with Wilson and Rawlings.

Did his father use Mizuno catchers mitts latter in his career. Brett may have grown up using Mizuno product, since it was probably free.

I don't blame him - the MWV-600 is IMO the best infield glove made.
