Sounds like a plan.

After helping to organize the first Glove Conference in NYC Central Park I realized the potential for this to become a really great event to have every year or two. That first event only drew 5 people. It helped a lot to have the second Glove Conference at the Baseball Hall of Fame where we were able to get special access to handle gloves in the permanent collection, use their conference room, and have a HOF curator give a talk. It also helped to have Wilson and Nokona donate items. This drew over 20 people. Gathering as many GloveNuts as possible with their unique glove collections to share is what makes these events great. My thought was that future Glove Conferences would benefit from being held at destination sites that help draw people. Since Wake and several forum moderators are here in the northeast it narrows down the options. The HOF enjoyed having us and has invited us back, although some people may have a feeling of "been there, done that." When Wake mentioned Milford, MA I immediately thought of the Insignia baseball glove factory which is in nearby Worcester. I'll bet they could be persuaded to give this event a factory tour and provide a meeting space. I'd make the drive out for that.

There is also a trade show in Danvers, MA in March that sometimes brings reps form Horween, Mizuno, etc. There is Katz gloves in Sheridan, CT. I'm just throwing out ideas and adding my two cents. I did a lot of organization work for the first two conferences but I'm not campaigning to organize the next conference. I'm just another forum GloveNut and I'm happy to help if asked.
