Hey guys. Im new to the forums and as a young kid im a pretty big equipment junkie and have loads of gear and have always loved gloves but recently ive been getting more into gloves. I like what ive seen from the Mexican brands because they are unique and pretty unknown up in the northeast. Can you guys help me because im trying to decide which kinds are the best and why. So basically what are the pros and cons compared to the good mexican companies. Also what is the difference between barrazza and rolin its confusing. I know this is a lot but i basically know nothing about these gloves. Thanks.

Don't hesitate to deal with JC, he's a great guy to deal with. I ordered some gloves through him last year and he is very good with all questions and concerns. The rolin gloves are good quality too.

Hey im new to havent even had time to do the "Hello im new..." thing but here is my first post. I live in aborder town played when i was 9-11(my 1st glove mexico made) stopped playing, starter playing softball @18 n still playin,20 yrs later

Names that i've seen, heard of and handled
DIAZ, ROSA, & ROLIN/BARRAZA

Glove making is a artisan trade because there is not a whole lot of profit deep in mexico, that is why they export to US. Profit margin is rediculous. My dads friend directly orders from Aguascalintes,Mexico. 2 weeks later you have your glove made to order $70,+ $20 bucks gets u # and lastmane stiched. one thing about ALL MEX gloves mentioned by me, the leathers r as heavy or heavier and than HOH (rawlings) gloves IMO. They r all contructed the same they dont tend to have different categories of leather grade. Which also makes harder to break in. They will last a lifetime of gaming, but their leather also tends to fade considerably. i just cleaned/conditoned a ROSAS for a teamate he has had it since he was 16. 19yrs later, originally royal blue its now columbia blue. But lastly i will agree Rolin/Barraza r the better MEX gloves but also caught on 2 marketing and pushing their product like US companies. B4 u had to know someone who would travel into mexico and was willing to bring it back to you

ps. still havent figured out loading pics but when i do i will post the 2 of my friends ROSAs i mentioned.

Yes he is correct that you may be able to get a fully custom glove for $90, but what kind of quality? Then making a statement that Rolin/Barraza is the best Mexican gloves, is a very uneducated statement. They are the biggest and probably most known, which does not make them the best. That's like making a statement that Rawlings is the best gloves worldwide, and for my taste Mizuno is better, but not the best, Carpenter gloves may be the best... Is all matter of opinion.

Hello HawkBB, i never said BEST, i said BETTER an to clarify ment from group i mentioned. i never claimed to be expert just charing personal experince and i did say "IMO". that means "In My Opinion" in any case...

Kluzee got 2 more GUERRERO & SALAZAR. GUERRERO not familiar but heard it throughout yrs and they also has website. SALAZAR seen nothing but new gloves @tournies in Lubbock,TX. guy trying to sell them for extra cash.
As for durability 19yrs old glove mentined is still being used. i know several (15-20) guys with 3 brands mentioned and all play varying position and they all keep ordering ROSAs from dads friend. one thing that came to mind. U know how RAWLINGS has cookie-cutter appearence, these gloves are more like NOKONA each have their own character.

peace out!

The top of the line Rolin XPT is $185 shipped.
Your choice of web, and any color combination you want.

Name embroidery is $15 extra.

Free options are:
Stiff or extra stiff construction
Factory break-in
Lace ends left extra long
Delete any or all labeling
Thick, normal, or thin palm pad
Extra, or less wool padding in fingers

Rolin/Barraza, Hawk, Brown, Guerrero, Crespo, Rosa, Soto, Rodriguez, Domin, Salinas, NV, Swenson, Trevino, Palomares, Valle......I am certain I missed a few.

I have owned many MX made gloves and currently possess a Rolin, Hawk and Brown....each have great quality leather and each of the gloves I have, exhibit fine workmanship.

They are priced right and customization is available.
