I just learned this one from ordering a pair of boots and the tag says "Natural waxes and oiled may rise to the surface, creating a white, misty coating called bloom."

Never knew this is the actual term for this. Widely seen USA gloves, but my current gamer is black oiled horween and it was all over the glove after being stored in my basement in my game bag last winter.

This is good to know. And timely. Last week I posted some pictures of a LS Icon I just received NWT, and it had some of this dust on the binding. My concern was that someone had used HotGlove on it, as I've seen gloves get this same substance after being treated with it. An Icon would potentially exhibit this phenomena as production would have ceased a few years ago, and they are made of oiled steerhide. I appreciate your post, as I was concerned about the lifespan of my glove's laces had it been treated with HotGlove.
