I saw some HOH gloves getting the "Assembled in USA" stamp on the thumb.

What does "assembled" mean?? different from "made in USA"???

I personally think the shape of those gloves is the same with the SLCS HOH gloves.

Anyone with more information???

Most likely an old Eastbay exclusive glove. They had a small batch of popular models made. I remember buying them, not liking them and reselling

No, just a version of hoh sold through ebay. Different situation, but similar to how dms has its own line of exclusives. Im not sure if they were marketed as excluves per se, but eb is where they durived from via retail.

Ugg, I cannot recall which forum I read it on, but docglove (Bob C.) responded to a similar question and stated that the custom shop definitely had their hands on these.

I dont recall if i read it here, or on the vtg fourm but the gist was there was some leftover leather that had been sitting and it was sent overseas to be cut and set up and then shipped back over here for Bobs team to assemble - hence assembled in the USA.
I spoke with some vets last night who offered their recollection and it was essentially that.
Some one who collected at the time could prob drop some 1st hand knowledge, but it seems the OT dark leather sewn flag patches with the rawlings logo in the corner are the nice top quality ones while the cloth flag patches with the rawlings logo centered in the middle (these were also but on the 'vice' gloves and some of the lower quality lines) is a sign its the leftover less than desirable leather.
FWIW, I have not had the lesser one on my hand, and its been years since I used the OT version.
The most recent of these to pop up is the cloth centered rawlings logo flag patch. Although that implies its from the line Bob didnt seem to care for (maybe was not proud of would be a better way to phrase it) it looks pretty cool at the very least and if it is obtained to be a shelf glove then none of this really matters.
Regardless a Pro-12F seems like a neat pattern. Does anyone know if this is just essentially a 6HF with a H web? both are 12 inchers. Was this pattern around for a while or just a flash in the pan? If it was a short thing, I guess the quality of the leather might not matter as much if its a hard to find pattern.

Spot on right there ^^^

Not sure if Bob's comments were on this forum or the vintage one. My only LHT glove is one of these in black with a tan web. It feels like GG leather.

Click the screenshot above. I read it some time ago. Thats what Bob said. Those "assembled on USA"s r actually SLCS made.

He's also referencing the actual MIUSA HOH's with the OT leather that had the flag patches.

BigMac's post is correct about the "Assembled in USA" customs as well as that run of "retro" models Eastbay had too.

That could be a kind of confusing post from bob out of context though. When he says 'now they are back made in the usa' hes referring to the slcs as a seperate thing from the eastbay assembled in the usa- but both lines were sold through eb at different times... is that the gist jason?
