Post subject:  EBay Gloves For Sale: Over-Steamed

I recently ran into some gloves for sale on EBay all of which were A2000s or HOHs at discount prices. However, they were all listed as over-steamed, no doubt some oopsies from a big-box retailer.
I am curious if anyone here has ever tried to remedy this problem. I've always assumed the leather would be permanently seared and subsequently have a significantly shorter life span.
Thanks for any input.

This is one of the gloves. They are selling several that look identical.

I wouldn't dream of buying one at that price with that description. Rather, my query to the group was if anyone had ever tried to fix a glove after it had been steamed too long.

Additionally, the entire glove would have to be relaced, and most of us here know the deceivingly large amount of lace that particular web pattern requires.
