I was creating a custom glove on Rawlingsgear.com last night and I was able to build a PRO303 (conventional back) 12.75" glove with a single post web with just one "cross bar" (like a plus sign). I like the look of it better than a Pro H web (dual post). Has anyone ever seen one in real life on a 12.75" glove? Does it hold up well compared to Pro H? The only other stock outfield glove I've seen with this single-post/single-crossbar web is the slightly smaller Mizuno Matsui 12.5" glove (GMP56).

It is the #1 Single post "plus sign." I dont like this one such a big glove. I prefer the #5 web (not available to the public) that I have on my PRO303. Its the single post double bar. There is too many holes on a 12 3/4 inch gloves with that web. Go with the H. There is nothing wrong with it and it wont wear out on you, but as far as performance, Rawlings screwed this one up. up to like 12 1/4 they should offer the SP and over that it should really be the SP DB.

Thanks HR King.

Another question: should I get the palm pad or not? What are the pros/cons?

I'm indifferent with the palm pad. I dont think it makes any difference to me. Ive never had a pop out issue or too thick of a palm ect. Maybe its because of how I break my gloves in/ select what ends up being a gamer.

No palm pad. It only stings for a sec.

The palm pad is all about personal preference. They feel just fine in my opinion.

I built and got one from Customglove for softball. It was a 12 1/2". I got it for the infield. I wanted the single crossbar. When it arrived it was a single post w/ two crossbars. I called and complained and they said anything over a 12" comes with the two crossbars. They were really good about letting me return it which surprised because it had my name and number on it.

:o First I ever heard of the company allowing a custom to be returned. Very good news for you, though lol. Are you getting another custom to replace that one or just got your money back?
