You should really learn how to research stuff yourself prior to posting. It's not difficult.

Amazon has both the Cano glove with the name stitched on the side of the thumb and the one that does not...

I bought a similar glove from Jason on here and I love the leather....

nrocket,

Did you get one yet? If so, I'd like to know what you think.

I went ahead and bought the Spalding Pro Select 42001 (Cano glove) from amazon. I got the one w/o his name embroided on it cuz I really don't care for him, I hate the Yankees, and I don't want someone else's name on my glove. I paid $153 shipped (while posting this I've realized that it increased in price to $171) and I couldn't be happier with the glove. I've only had it for a couple of days but I really dig the look and the leather and finger stalls have a unique feel to them. The glove is very stiff (not old school Gold Glove Series) but much stiffer than say an A2000. I called Spalding and they confirmed that this model (42-001) and the one with his name on it (42-001RC) are identical patterns with the same exact leather, etc.

What really drew my interest is the fact that it is a unique looking glove and nobody uses Spalding gloves anymore. So in other words, I like that it is different from most of the gloves out there.

Here is the link for the glove:

http://www.amazon.com/Spalding-Select-O ... 799&sr=8-1

I figured I could always return it if I recevied it and didn't like it. Fortuantely, I'm digging it and I have it as a back-up for my Pro Preferred for the time being until I break it in some more.

The second baseman on the team I was playing was using one. From what I could see it looked like a good all around glove, but I didn't get to try it on.

Bought this glove on amazon 2 weeks ago, and I'm very happy. I'm slowly breaking it in and I like the look and feel. The leather is great, and the glove is relatively lightweight. I was looking into getting an A2000 or A2K but went with this instead. Great glove in my opinion, and the price isn't too bad either.

I picked up a custom version from trixx82 a few months ago...

Image

The leather was really top-quality... One of the best constructed gloves out there...

The only 'problem' with it was it wasn't an 11.5" glove like it says it is...
It was really closer to 11.25"...

I ended up selling it to our Secondbaseman, and he thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread!

Good luck!

I bought one for my "collection" as I liked the look of it.

I tired it out the other day and it is very nice. The leather quality is great, pretty stiff, but not too stiff and for the price it is definitely a great value.
