Rawlings PRO-MG, HOH (AEA01) Any Info on these?

Cool older Rawlings Patches with Gold Thread.
Thicker looking HOH logo.

Just picked one up. Nice leather, crappy padding, but just tore it open last night, gonna make some new pads and bones for it.
Maybe some Red lace in this one.

Yeah, the "Trap-EZE" and the HOH are pretty legible still.

Looks like it was used twice and stored flat.

It's from 1983. AEA01 = March 1983.
You can tell that it's 83 and not 93 b/c of the "deer skin" palm liner, red Rawlings cursive on the outside thumb and the model number under the hide stamp.
But the biggest tip is that all the gloves that year had gold stamping for the 25th anniversary of the "Gold Glove Awards".
I'm not positive what MG stands for but I think it might be "Matthews Glove" b/c Eddie Matthews initially made the trapeze model popular and I'm pretty sure this was the first year they brought the trap gloves back to public production since the late 60's. Just a wild guess, though.

It's a pretty sweet collector's item. I've had my eye on the RHT model on the bay but $300+ is a little too rich for me.

I thought this was older than 93, seems very different than my other TBs and like I mentioned the label and "R" are so different.
Mine looks the same as the one on the bay, except the RHT has a script "Rawlings" on teh thumb. Otherwise, looks the same.

I believe it was from the 1983 catalog known as the Black Magic (predecessor to the PRO-T).
