Rawlings PRO303-4PM pretty much brand new. Hasn't seen grass yet just a whole hell of a lot of mallet and ball. Breaking in very nicely but the mesh seems to be tearing A LOT on the back fingers through the lace holes on the 2nd set of lace. Is this common? Should I be concerned about the duarbility? Whould an X pattern be better?

This is common on just about every glove. I wonder if it will be worse with mesh than with leather.

My son has played 30+ games and a season's worth of practice on his PRONP5M and it looks completely fine. EDIT: Actually that's my bad, the PRONP5M doesn't really have any spots where the laces go thru the mesh.

It's never been a problem with any of my pro mesh gloves. And I've had a few of them.
