So, I wont be playing any infield unless something comes up and I need to play 3rd. I have a Pedro style big box store i picked up a few yrs ago on clearance and had just planned to use that. If I am shagging in the outfueld, I found a sweet (by my standards mind you DM-1 glove from the 80s I found for a couple bucks at a thrift store. That changed today when I found an old HOH Pro 3 at the good will for a quarter. Its beat to hell mind you, and ive never really liked older gloves because they seem big and clunky. This thing (although it probably looks like trash to you folks) is super sweet. Its broken in perfect. Not too soft, and although its got nothing in the way of collectability, it will surely see some play thanks to its new home and new life. Ive always wondered, whats a wing tip? It just looks like a conventional back. Ive never liked or dreamed of actually using a vintage glove but for whatever reason this one is super comfortable. Hell, i even like the blacked out and missing logo. Battle scars!! Just thought it was a neat old glove and wanted to share:)

That's an awfully good find for a quarter. Congrats!

Thanks! I played some catch and it feels great. The previous owner(s) broke it in well. And like you said, for a quarter, ya cant go wrong!;)

A quarter?!?!?! Like .25 cents???? Come on. That's ridiculous.

It's either 1975 or 1980 and I'm pretty sure this glove was called the XPG-3 in 1975 so I'd put my money on it being from 1980.

yep! like an entire quarter!!!

I got pushed to third during the season opener and broke this out and actually needed it for 2 plays and it was awesome.
I actually got a couple compliments as well, which I found funny as it looks like hell but as it turns out it can still game!!

One of my favorite conventional back basket webs (along with the PRO-5XBCB, PRO-SPB and PRO-7 w/v-anchored web) love the 12" flat pocket glove. A testament to the Made in USA BLACKHORSE Horween leather that some have said is "overated"....cough cough :)
