Taylor Wright is a Syracuse University student who wrote and published a new paper titled: The Romantic History and the Captivating Future of the Baseball Glove. I had the pleasure to be interviewed for this paper. Shigeaki Aso, of Wilson, was also interviewed. I especially enjoyed reading about his background and his current daily life as a glove designer.

I wanted to share this paper with the community here. It's a good read for any GloveNut. Also, Taylor would appreciate general feedback, constructive criticism, further research, etc. Please leave any comments here for her to read. Perhaps it will lead to a new version or a future publishing. Thanks.

Taylor Wright is giving a presentation of her paper tomorrow, June 2nd, at the Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture held at the Baseball Hall of Fame. I will be in attendance. The BHOF website has more info.

This annual symposium is a great resource which I try to attend each year. There are always a number of fantastic presentations on far reaching subjects related to baseball.

Aso gets way too much credit. When I think of a legendary glove craftsman, I think of someone like Tsubota and Clevenhagen. Future legends would be Carpenter and Kishimoto.
