So, its been just over a year. Over 50 gloves have been in and out and its funny because the collection has changed directions a few times. At first it was all single posts. I had a wonderful black slcs black labeled single post that was 11 inches. I decided to part with that and a single post 90s 6xtc becuase a friend wanted them and i wasnt using them. It was at this time i decided that instead of just buying random glove, id go in a direction of only what i used and liked. It took a bit to redirect, but my favorites are the cmhc, 6hf, and rv23. Becuase of this i parted with some of my rarer pieces BUT added ones i like more.
The cmhc ones are pretty common, but the usa mcgwire and nwt autod mcgwire are my favorites. 6hf's were a little harder. Quaz hooked me up with a blackhorsed autod ripken which i broke in bc i rrally just wanted to use one. Then I added a 6hfd (nice one on ebay now and my fav version. If ya want one and have yet to add one i reccomend you make a run at this one..) and minty arod autod nwt. The pros6hf was hard to find but finally lucked out and found one for 150 bin. Lastly, this time last year i disliked the rv23. That zipper hinge post web was sssoooo ugly. Then it grew on me. The black single post was my first, but i sold it for a mesh pro dept as that got soft quick. The pro dept was more like a 12 inch and was actually too small. I traded it for a dms horween and added a pro200-1 with rv web shortly there after. Quaz hooked me up with a different full mesh horween pro dept that feels like it has popsicle sticks in the thumb and pinkie. I game that at 3rd bc i love it so much. I finally tracked a LS version and that filled the collection out. Thats where i stand, it took a lot of trial and error but i feel like its more fun for me to go after what i like. Thanks everyone for the help and tips over the past year. You are all a bunch of great guys and all the info is much appreciated. Best hobby there is!!!

Great collection BigMac! It is interesting how many directions this hobby can take you before you realize what floats your boat the best. I would agree that the RV23 has grown on me as well, even though I haven't yet acquired one... Also, I see that you kept your Vapor :)

My son ended up liking the Vapor and has been using it as his high school ball gamer to play outfield. He has his DM 6XTC for 3B. I still have a 6XTC also....

Thanks for sharing your journey!

Thanks bud!!!!
I really liked the DMS XTC but it was the 1st fielders glove I got and of course that didnt last long as I was after a single post:)

The Vapor is cool, but i imagine that'll be the next I part with. I just wanted to check it out more than anything and there is sits...
I imagine I'll try and trade it 1st, but Ya never know. Maybe itll stay with me for a while.
I will say it is odd that some I thought were ones i'd never part with- only to let em go a few months later because of the direction change again.
Kinda funny looking back!!!

Thanks again for the kind words!!

Now ive gotta figure something else to chase. I didnt expect to find the mcgwire anytime soon. Since it was already not mint im breaking it in to play catch with. I wont game it BUT as nice as it is and clearly a step above the usa cmhcb all around.. its alomst a full inch bigger. Mcgwire musta had huge hands. The thumb support sucks though. Thats the only nit picking thing i can come up with.

To get all the grime off, will scrubbing w a tooth brush hurt the integrity of the leather w lexol?
If i was to ever have a thumb support added, does that mean the laces are trash? I like how it has the older thinner tanners. Normally i prefer the current thick stuff, but the thin goes well and i didnt k ow if it was opened if id have to go w newer stuff or if it cld be reused. Thanks!

I always wondered about the anchor as well. Its just a tan piece wrapped around and tucked in the back and sewn in the front. Reqlly cool looking, but does anyone k ow the purpose??

This has changed again quite a bit.
Just took a collection pic for the 1st time since the one at the top of this thread. I posted at SBF, but since i already had my own thread here- figured it couldnt hurt lol. I'd imagine most who reside here check that as well, so please ignore if I already annoyed you with the pics over there :)
Hopefully, one of these days some of you grizzled vets show off your updated collection pics. Looking through old threads here is the best!!!!!
