if you find an option to order Mizuno Pro Limited customs, let me know.

Asics don't have the best reputation amongst the people I know.

I'm also interested in custom order Mizuno Pro Limited made in Japan only (unless you have a Haga Crafted glove for sale) or SSK Proedge custom gloves.

ASICS used to make the Japanese Rawlings (Rawlings brand label on them but ASICS made), they were good quility.
There r still a lot of pros in Japan using ASICS gloves and also Darvish.

No advertising guys, just share something that I know..

Who makes the UA gloves? I'm not interest in them, but am very curious to know who makes them. I think I read something that kubota slugger makes them.

yup U said it!
most of us agreed that Kubota is making them. BUT it's just a rumor U know...

And maybe Hatakeyama, we guessed,
They were making NIKE japanese gloves (not Shaido) years ago.
But they r famous for their catcher mitts (good loud sound when the ball hit the pocket which Japanese prefer) they made on their own brand now,
so don't need to make other brands' gloves any more..

Thanks for the info. Back in the 80s in hawaii some stores brought over japan made gloves which is how I got my gloves in high school and college, but now thanks to ebay, swallow sports, and mail forwarding services that allow you to buy from yahoo japan and other sites, buying a Japan made glove is possible for us in the USA. Maybe we need a seperate Japanese glove thread or subforum since there's so many different brands besides mizuno to discuss.

Don't mention it!
Japanese glove subforum gonna be awesome!!
Hatakeyama, Asics, Zett, SSK, Kubota, Junkei, Tamazawa, Japanese Wilson and some more,
they r all good quality stuff.

I emailed for info on this glove asking its size in inches.

http://www.4860.jp/item/asc-bghefv/

They told me it was bigger than 30cm. but didn't know its size in inches. That means it is somewhere between 12" and 14". Someone must know or know someone who knows the size in inches on this glove.

Any knowledgable help would be appreciated!

Ask for exact measurements in cm. You can easily convert the size from that. The chart from asics says its bigger than 30 cm. It looks like a 12 3/4 or 13" glove to me. The only small outfielders glove that I've seen from japan is the nike shado elite j that was 12 1/4". Another thing I've found that asics calls that glove a size 14 (the biggest size they make for OF gloves) and they make other outfielder gloves in a size 12. That glove is also the second most expensive OF glove I could find on the asics website. The only one more expensive is the Shohei Otani replica glove.

Thanks vegasf1. To give you more insight, here is a copy of their email:

"Thank you for your inquiry.
It's the size of the goods you inquired, that it's published from a manufacturer, the size is more than 30 cm.
We don't know whether it's 14 inches because the in-depth size isn't published.
Please accept it."

What I understand from that is "We only know what the manufacturer has told us. So, there you go!" Would have loved to have had someone go out and put a tape on it... But they would have had to be at the warehouse. Or contacted someone at the warehouse. Or make a phone call. Or cared.

Sorry I'm a retired old fart, looking for a 13 to 14 inch glove for softball. Back 50 years ago we got by using a baseball glove for softball. Today I need a longer glove cause somebody apparently shortened my left arm, or lengtened my legs, or moved the ground down a couple of inches, cause my old 12" glove doesn't reach the ground the way it used to.... Saw Minenori Kawasakis' YouTube and thought it looked like an interesting concept. I've always been a sucker for innovation and concept/process improvement (even if it is only a claim):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6tKBi2cMTw

Figured if I bought the glove and still can't field, I can blame the "new-fangled" glove....

I have also been a proponent of customer service, but have seen "innovation" in that area become more about "customer serve-us"...

Anyway--there ya go!

If you need a glove for softball then I'd look at gloves made for softball. I'm 47, but can't seem to quit playing baseball.

This is the only asics softball glove that looks like its at least 13" http://www.4860.jp/item/asc-bgrelv/

Have you tried asking on http://forums.softballfans.com/ ? I've heard that there's a few people there that buy those $600 to $800 bucks made in japan gloves for softball.
