I have read some other threads and have read nothing but great things about the glove quality.

I play softball and read that the glove is narrow cut. Currently I am using Rawlings 302 style H webs. Is the Nike 12.75 too narrow for softball?

Also, is it roomie enough for 2 in the pinkie?

Thanks
Paul

I have the DEP 12.75 trap and i really like it. The leather is perfect and the glove feels great. There is room for two in the pinky. The only problem i had was the hand opening was too tight. i had to cut out the fur liner piece in the glove and now it fits great. I haven't heard about anyone else having this problem tho.

I am really concerned with it being too narrow for softball. Any thoughts?

I have the 11.75, and I would say it if very narrow and tight. Outstanding quality, too.

I would say its slightly more narrow than my rawlings trap if that helps. I don't play softball so i am not the best person to weigh in on this.

I don't own a 12.75" DEP, but I've seen both the H-web and trap variants and have tried them on. They do run on the narrow side. I, personally, don't think either pattern is really suited for softball. But that's me. I'd have no problem using one for baseball, though.

There's nothing stopping you from using one, of course... but I think you'd likely be better off with something a bit wider and deeper. Just my $0.02

I got one but decided the pattern may not be the best for softball. Currently I have an a2k 1799 and a gmp55, both play very big and imo are 2 of the best softball patterns. If you are still undecided about the nike you might want to ask this question on softballfans, u will prolly receive a lot more relevant feedback there.
