I try not to be biased as a Yankees fan, but I think with a healthy team they will repeat. The Rockies, with a healthy Huston Street, will win the NL and give the Yankees fits in the WS.

Add a category if I missed one.

Sorry, I just realized there's a MLB Discussion category that would have been a perfect place for this thread.

Halladay's a good choice. I thought about picking him myself, but I think the Phillies will be an underachieving team this year.

Come on folks...we need more predictions.

Twins - Dodgers World Series. Advantage Twins.

I don't understand why everyone is picking the Tigers to win the A.L central. The Tigers arguably got worse in the offseason, while the Twins and the hated White Sox got better.

This is why I don't participate in predictions with Yankees fans

Here's why I picked them the way I did. You do realize the Twins have no closer, right? It'll be difficult for them to win without Nathan. The Twins would have been my pick for the AL Central if he wasn't going to miss the entire season. The Tigers have a pretty good pitching staff. Porcello is a year older and Verlander is an ace with great stuff, so a pretty good 1-2 combo there. Dontrelle has had a great Spring and has shown signs of finally going back to his Marlins days. Damon is a better hitter than Granderson. Austin Jackson could be rookie of the year, he has phenomenal talent and he's a 5 tool player. Laird is one of the best defensive catchers in the game. He has one of the best % of throwing out baserunners. Palanco was the only transaction I see as a loss for the Tigers. The Tigers are going to be hurting at 2B, but not near as much as the Twins will be with no closer. IMO, the White Sox are a team filled with underachievers.

What does your predictions have to do with me being a Yankees fan? Just pick them as you see it.

Really? The Tigers? They got rid of Grandy, their best outfielder. If anyone, take the Twins even though Nathan got TJ surgery. If you still can't bring yourself to see the reality that the Twins will spend top dollar on a free agent closer with experience and win it all you could at least make the next logical choice: the Black Sox!

This thread has gone as well as a fart in church. Come on there's only a couple days left to make your pre-opening day predictions.

The rotation is stacked. The lineup has gotten younger and more athletic. All spring training all I've been hearing about is the White Sox mindset change, going to small ball. And since I've spurned so many arguments here is my prediction:
NL Cy Young: Lincecum
AL Cy Young: C. Lee
NL ROY: Jason Heyward
AL ROY: not really sure which players are considered rookies? Wieters?
NL Comeback player of the year: Jose Reyes
AL Comeback player of the year: Josh Hamilton
NL MVP: Pujols
AL MVP: $184 million dollar man
NL Manager of the year: La russa
AL Manager of the year: Gardenhire
NL East Champs: Marlins
NL Central Champs: Cardinals
NL West Champs: Dodgers
NL Champs: Cardinals
AL East Champs: Yankees
AL Central Champs: Twins
AL West Champs: Angels
AL Champs: Twins
World Series Champs: Twins

A little optimism never hurt anyone. I need to brush up on my MLB current events. Not having cable is killing me.
