It is not a custom, but a BBX special that is no longer available.

Gabby,

I have to agree with you on the BBX DCT. It is an awesome mitt, one of my all time favorites. I just wish it was all black. The Japanese leather is fantastic once it breaks in. It really feels great on the hand.

Yankee,

Yeah, that model is the best DCT pattern I have ever put on my hand. Some of the features I love are that the top of the web is not stitched to the glove like most DCTs, and most importantly it has a wider pocket with the "H web" and is very deep.

I love this mitt, and it's a shame it isn't more widely available. The color scheme is terrible, though.

That Mizuno WW is beautiful, but a couple of notes....

* I wish it were a RHT model.

* Do you find the converted web makes it hell to dig a ball?

Exactly my thought....While it sure looks cool, I doubt it will improve making picks out of the dirt. Of course, if it's
a softball it probably won't matter.

I love the way Traps look and feel, but the are terrible functionally. I won't use them in the outfield because more than once in the past I have been in a situation where I had to scoop the ball on the run to throw out a runner, and I felt the ball just get right by that trapeze crown. I know, never blame the glove, but this is a case when a regular web will make a difference. ESPECIALLY at a position like 1st base!

Of course, this can all be avoided with great hands!

So far so good.

Played 12 games with this glove and so far no problems. Scoops up the grounders and bad throws.
It all depends on how you lace the top. On this glove I lace the top of the trap slightly narrower than the pocket. Therefore tightening up the top
of the glove. May a really good stab at a ball down the line amd it just stuck int eh top of that trap, even with a dive. So far, so good.

Remember, Ozzie Smith had a Trap web!
