It all depends on your budget. If you could afford it, I'd recommend a custom Rawlings from Don Morton Sports (ballgloves.com).

Here are my two cents, free of charge!

Everything is up to you.... I mean, you know you don't like Vinci because you apparently have experienced it before to know... Yet, if you didn't state that, someone might have suggested Vinci... When choosing YOUR custom glove, it's very difficult to get what YOU want based on others opinions....

HrKing didn't like his Glovesmith--- I eventually fell in love with mine and I believe we bought the same glove, just different colors... Some like the Rolin's, the Rawlings gloves etc...

The Mizuno's are nice, but if you buy a Classic, you're buying a China made glove.... And some don't like China made gloves so that turns them off with them, the Japan made leathers from Mizuno are extremely expensive, but are probably the best quality...

Perhaps you want a USA Rawlings custom glove... I guess I would suggest this because you don't know how long that operation is going to be around ? So perhaps you might want to jump on it now...

IMO, the 3 best leathers you can buy via custom are the following:

Japan made Mizuno
USA made Rawlings
USA made Glovesmith

The SSK's are interesting from what I can tell... They have a lot of colors and webs that are out of the ordinary, so maybe that's something to look into--

Ultimately it comes down to the following: Custom made gloves are pretty expensive and they have a poor resale value because most come attached with the persons name on it.. So you need to make sure you know what YOU want and be committed to owing this glove for the rest of your life...

Oh snap !!! A-Rod is trollin' the Glove Works Forum...
