The HOF is going to set the price at $10 per attendee paid upon arrival. This fee includes admission to the Museum. Admission typically cost $19.50, so this $10 fee is a great bargain and it shows the support the HOF is putting behind this event. There is also interest from some of the HOF staff in attending which will add to the discussion. Trust me, talking baseball with HOF staff is always fun!

Ok, so my wife is telling me that I need to come to this. I'm going to look at flights and see what I can pull.

I've got a 10:30AM game on 10/15, but even my mom's telling me just to skip it and attend this event. Problem is that I live in NYC and need to figure out a way to get there. There's a member on here (has yet to make his first post) who is planning on going so I'll see if I can go with him. So I'm a "maybe," if that even means anything.

Are you in the city, HR? Looking to carpool? I have to fly back early Sunday (so I can coach my little guys). What kind of drive is that, 5 or 6 hours?

Made the trip several times, when I lived back east....... about a 4 hour drive from the city to Cooperstown, always depending on traffic of course.

If it's not too much trouble, then I'd tag along with you. Not sure if you have my cell number, but I have yours to text you to arrange things.

Any updated news about this? Didi we get enough people for glove vender give-aways? Any new events planned?

I am interested in going, just not 100% committed yet. Trying to arrange leaf peeping with my wife and sneaking away for this.

I'm curious as to others' plans for the event. I've found that the only available flights from Lexington are to NYC or Albany. And driving up there would cost even more. Also found a hotel 0.8 mi. from the event.

Trying to get all my ducks in a row so I can come! This would be a once in a lifetime opportunity, if I'm still invited.

If you do come, fly into Albany if you can. It is not a bad drive from Albany to Cooperstown, - mainly I88 to NYS28, - a pretty easy trip, and a scenic one as well. I'm guessing it's around 80 miles.

Things are building up nicely for this event. I'll be posting more info as details get confirmed. Yes, there will be give aways. Yes, anyone and everyone is still invited. You can make a last minute decision and still come, but understand that it helps this event if we have a clear idea beforehand on the headcount. So please post here as soon as you know if you're attending, thinking of attending, backing out, etc.

The Museum opens at 9am. The Conference starts at 1pm and will probably last until the Museum closes at 5pm. If you want to spend time going through the Museum plan to arrive early enough.

Hi, I was alerted by a forum member that you guys are planning a trip to Cooperstown in October, and I wonder if you have room for one more? I am mostly a vintage glove guy, but really love all aspects of baseball history. Do you mind if I tag along?

I can take one more in my car from NYC. I live in the city so we can pick a central start point.

Right now I have Gabby (are you still coming?) and Kyle. If you want to car pool, please PM me.

I will let you know by the end of the week. Got to get back EARLY Sunday, so I will most likely have to talk to you about the carpool. Doubt you want to deal with that.
